About the Journal

Ethos Islamica: Journal of Islamic Business Culture is a peer-reviewed academic journal that explores the integration of Islamic values into the fields of business, economics, and finance. The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and case studies that address key topics in Islamic economics, sharia-compliant business management, Islamic entrepreneurship, and the Islamic finance industry. It aims to facilitate academic dialogue and promote ethical business practices rooted in Islamic principles.

The journal operates under a fully open-access policy, ensuring that all articles are freely accessible to readers without subscription or access fees. To support its operations, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of IDR 200,000 is applied to each accepted article. Article submissions are evaluated through a double-blind peer-review process to maintain academic quality and objectivity.

Authors retain copyright over their articles, which are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). Ethos Islamica is committed to upholding transparency and integrity in its publishing practices. The journal adheres to a strict privacy policy, ensuring that the personal data of authors, reviewers, and users will not be shared with third parties without their consent.

The journal is published by the Bandar Darussalam Foundation and is committed to long-term digital preservation through participation in the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archiving systems. Ethos Islamica is published four times a year in March, June, September, and December and welcomes contributions from academics, practitioners, and policymakers involved in the study and practice of Islamic business and economic ethics.

Publication Language

The journal accepts articles in English only. Each article must include an abstract in two languages (Indonesian and English).
