ULUMUNA JOURNAL AUTHOR GUIDELINES

New Author Guidelines

  1. To improve the quality of Ulumuna: Jurnal Studi Islam publications, published four times a year in March, June, September, and December, with only selected articles being published in each edition.
  2. All articles must be submitted to the Ulumuna Journal editorial team online, with authors registering as authors and/or agreeing to serve as reviewers. If authors encounter difficulties with online submissions, please contact the Ulumuna editorial team.
  3. Every article submitted to this journal must be scientific (research article), original, and unpublished and/or submitted to any journal or media. The plagiarism level must not exceed 30%. Authors must sign a statement supporting this issue, confirming compliance with the submission checklist.
  4. The content of the article must be relevant to the focus and scope of the Ulumuna Journal.
  5. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian or English (English preferred) and meet the criteria for good and correct writing.
  6. Articles should be approximately 5,000 to 10,000 words long, 1.5-line spacing, typed in MS Word, using Times New Roman font, size 12, on A4 paper (left margin = 4 cm, top = 4 cm, right = 3 cm, and bottom = 3 cm).
  7. Authors should submit manuscripts through the Ulumuna Journal's OJS portal and confirm this by email, attaching a brief author biography and a statement of originality.
  8. The abstract should: a) Be written in English and Indonesian, b). Provide a synopsis of the entire article; c) Begin with the general context of the research, followed by the specific background of the research; d) Explain the objectives, methods and procedures, key findings and results, and conclusions of the research; e) Emphasize novel or important aspects of the research; f) Be understandable to a wide range of readers (avoid jargon); g) Be one paragraph, 150–300 words; h) Do not contain unusual quotations or abbreviations.
